Captain Sir Tom Moore’s daughter has said she will find this weekend’s major fundraising drive in his honour “ridiculously emotional”.
Hannah Ingram-Moore and the family of the late veteran have organised the Captain Tom 100 challenge which is launching today on what would have been his 101st birthday.
Captain Tom raised £38 million for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden and Britons have been urged to take up a “100” challenge in his honour.
Celebrities David Beckham, Dame Judi Dench and Mary Berry are among those taking part.

  • His daughter should be given a knighthood and run for prime minister as she's the daughter of Sir captain Tom Moore so you know she'd make a great leader

  • I'm starting to wonder about this lot. I'm beginning to think they're making a lot of wedge from the captain.

  • He fought in the same war 3 million other British soldiers did, raised money for a Charity like many other did. He's not some super hero or nation symbol. He's just some old man that did the same things a lot of others did and was just in the right place at the right time for his daughter to get her 15 mins of fame and the media circus used him as aside show to milk every view and click they could get out of him.
